Welcome!

Dear Friends,

On January 10, 2007 Don Marostica has been sworn in as the new Representative for HD 51, Loveland. I am pleased that we have been able to keep this House seat in Republican hands because of the Republican principles that are good for our citizens and our blessed country. I wish Don Marostica well. He will do a good job in representing Loveland's citizens on transportation and on many different issues. I have let Don know on that I am there to help him during this transition.

It has been a real honor for me to serve for the past 3 years. I worked very hard to get the 7 bills passed that I sponsored along with a couple of resolutions. I also worked hard to kill many "bad bills" that were bad for business, that would result in higher taxes, and that would undermine our traditional family values. Many friendships have been established. I have held several town meetings and made myself readily available for anyone to contact me.

The Republican Party stands for individual responsibility, limited government, a strong economy through lower taxes, a strong national defense, border control, traditional family values, the life of the unborn, judges that do not legislate from the bench, a literal interpretation of our U.S. Constitution, toughness on crime, school choice, affordable health care, low energy costs, and common sense environment policies. For these reasons, I am pleased to be a Republican and stand for these principles.

I plan to be involved in the political process in ways that will support those principles stated above. If you would like to be on my email list, please send one to: jim@jimwelker.com.

It has been a great honor to serve as Loveland's Representative and to have worked with an incredible team of professionals at the State Capitol. Thank you for your support and friendship.

I pray for God's blessings on you and our country,

Former State Representative
